Procure o seu M\u00e9dico Oftalmologista&#8221;, a campanha consiste num spot televisivo, que vai ser transmitido a partir de 1 de outubro na SIC. O objetivo \u00e9 alertar os portugueses para o risco de perda de vis\u00e3o causada pela DMI e refor\u00e7ar a import\u00e2ncia do diagn\u00f3stico precoce para retardar a progress\u00e3o da doen\u00e7a. A iniciativa visa ainda demonstrar que, com um simples autoteste, \u00e9 poss\u00edvel detetar sinais precoces da doen\u00e7a e procurar logo um M\u00e9dico Oftalmologista.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: trebuchet ms, sans-serif;\">A DMI afeta a m\u00e1cula, uma pequena \u00e1rea central da retina respons\u00e1vel pela vis\u00e3o central n\u00edtida, essencial para atividades di\u00e1rias, como ler, conduzir e reconhecer o rosto das pessoas. Esta condi\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 respons\u00e1vel por 8,7% de todos os tipos de cegueira no mundo.
